Realising our potential
We are rich
Destined for greatness
But like diamonds
We are hidden
Beneath the many layers of colonialism
Which burden our shoulders
when we want to progress
To heights unknown

We belittle the resources we have
Yet we find pride in boosting other nations’ economy
With the knowledge that would have transformed the little we had
Into a formidable continent.

There is more to us than meets the eye
We are the engines of our own success
Let’s stand our ground and
Embrace our Africanism
A brand that makes us who we are.
